DIY All Purpose Spray

by Katie Bock

Cleaning supplies can be one of the most harmful things we keep in our homes.  Knowing this is scary.  We have to clean right? And what about when your little ones ask to help you clean?  I know my little guy loves to help at least for now!  With all this in mind I wanted to find a spray I could make at home that was effective and safe.  Here is what I came up with…

All Purpose Spray

What you Need

How to make

  1. First place 20 drops of each oil into the 16oz Glass Spray Bottle. I used Melaleuca, Lemongrass, Lemon, and Cleansing Blend.
  2. Then pour in one cup of vinegar and one cup of water.
  3. Shake it well and you have your All Purpose Cleaner!

Why does this work?

Melaleuca has anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal properties allowing for a good clean.

Lemongrass has anti-bacterial and anti-septic properties and can also be effective as an insect repellant.

Lemon is great for air purification and getting rid of toxins.

Cleansing Blend is a combination on these oils and a few oils.  It is formulated to use for clean and insect repelling.

Vinegar has for many years been used for cleaning and is a great base for a cleaner.

Glass Bottles can be found here. I have found they go on sale often and I usually get mine when they are on sale.  Find them here.
