The Weight Of The World On Your Shoulders
It’s all too often we put the weight of the world on our shoulders. This pressure we put on ourselves to do everything, to be perfect, to be everything to everyone, to be a superhero, to have super powers, to be happy all the time, to be strong all the time is creating the stress that we really don’t wanna feel. We are creating overwhelm in our life, we are creating nervousness and anxiousness and chaos in our minds through this pressure we are putting on ourselves.
The pressure on your shoulders, the weight of the world is there because you’ve placed it there and you’ve allowed it to stay there. Imagine if you make a choice to release some pressure; just think for a moment how good it might feel to let the weight fall away from your shoulders and not have to take on the world every day.
We can feel pressure from other people in our life it’s true but it’s also true that we choose to feel that pressure if you don’t want to feel the weight of the world on your shoulders then allow the burden to fall away. Know that you do your best in every moment. Know that you wake up every morning you can breathe and you are alive and whatever you do and that day is amazing.
What if instead of feeling nervous because you are not sure you’ve met someone else’s needs or instead of feeling anxious because you feel like there’s so much more to do but no time to do it or instead of getting totally upset and losing your mind; you let the pressure fall from your shoulders what if you stopped taking on the weight of the world.
This week I challenge you to look at where your pressure comes from and why you feel that way. Take time to figure out why so much pressure is on your shoulders and figure out what’s important to you and what’s not and then do something about it. Figure it out and then make a change, introduce mantras into your life or learn breathing techniques to help you release the pressure.
